Janes Walk 2024
Jane's Walks, held on the first weekend of May annually, is a celebration and honourable recognition to the activist and place maker, Jane Jacobs. She never backed down and always fought to save our neighbourhoods so that they retained their charm, vibrancy and identity. We held a free walking tour, on Sunday, May 5th, hosted by local area hobbyist historian, Ann Ball who provided insight and history on a few of the sites within the College Promenade area.

Window Display Project
The BIA was approached by an instructor from Seneca Polytechnic in the Visual Merchandising Arts Program (VMA), named Michelle Smith. They are a local resident and also run a professional company called Visual Department.
As part of the Winter 2024 course called "Creative Presentations", they are hoping to provide students real world experience and have them work on window display pitches to the College Promenade BIA. With winning pitches to be installed in the windows of interested BIA member's storefronts at the start of Spring.
Material used would be paper/cardboard for sustainability/budget. There would be a budget of up to $100 (per location) needed for the students to purchase material.
